Kristin Kreuk Biography and Latest Photoshoot

Kristin Laura Kreuk (play /ˈkruːk/; born December 30, 1982) is a Canadian actress and producer, known for her portrayal of Lana Lang in the American television series Smallville. She was also a regular cast member on the Canadian teen drama Edgemont, and has starred in movies such as Eurotrip and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Kreuk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her father, Peter Kreuk, is of Dutch descent; her mother, Deanna Che, is of Chinese descent, but was born in Indonesia; her maternal grandmother was born in Jamaica of Chinese descent. Both parents are landscape architects. She has a sister named Justine, who is about five years younger. Kreuk trained in karate and gymnastics at the national level until high school but quit in Grade 11 due to scoliosis. She attended Edith Cavell Elementary School (vide Edith Cavell) and Eric Hamber Secondary School in Vancouver.

Kreuk planned to study psychology, environmental science, or forensic science at Simon Fraser University, when a casting director for the CBC TV series Edgemont contacted her secondary school, looking for an Asian girl to play the part of a Chinese Canadian, Laurel Yeung, on show, which was shot in Vancouver. Kreuk's drama teacher convinced Kreuk, who had no previous acting experience other than in musicals at her high school, to audition for the role, which she won.
After shooting the first season of Edgemont (a teenage soap opera set at a Vancouver-area high school) and getting herself an agent, Kreuk landed the lead role of Snow White in a TV movie titled Snow White: The Fairest of Them All. The film, shot in Vancouver, also starred Miranda Richardson and was directed by Caroline Thompson. It aired on ABC, and later released on DVD, in 2002. In 2003, Kreuk ended her role on Edgemont. In the summer of 2004, Kreuk took the role of Tenar for the Sci Fi Channel two-part miniseries Legend of Earthsea. The miniseries was filmed in Vancouver, directed by Rob Lieberman and broadcast on December 13, 2004.

After Snow White, Kreuk's agent sent an audition tape to screenwriters Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who at the time were putting together the cast of a show they had created for the WB Network entitled Smallville. The series, which was slated to be shot in Vancouver, revolves around the life of teenager Clark Kent before he becomes Superman. Gough and Millar called Kreuk to WB's studios in Burbank, California to audition for the role of Clark Kent's first love, Lana Lang. After seven seasons, Kreuk left Smallville in the beginning of 2008, when her character leaves town. She returned as a guest star in the show's eighth season for five episodes to conclude her storyline.
In 2009, Kristin Kreuk signed on for a multi-episode arc in Season 3 of Chuck. She played Hannah, a computer troubleshooter who joins the Buy More Nerd Herd after being laid off from her previous job.

In 2010, she portrayed Ben Hur's sister Tirzah in the TV movie Ben Hur, which aired in Canada.

Neutrogena made her the spokesmodel for their new worldwide advertising campaign; in this role Kreuk followed in the footsteps of fellow teen stars such as Jennifer Love Hewitt and Mandy Moore. In 2005, she renewed her contract with Neutrogena for another two years, making her the company's longest-serving model spokesperson.
In 2003, Kreuk appeared in her first feature film, with a minor role in Eurotrip, starring Scott Mechlowicz and Michelle Trachtenberg. The film, shot in Prague, Czech Republic, also featured cameos by Matt Damon and Lucy Lawless. It debuted in theatres on February 20, 2004.

In early 2005, Kreuk signed on to the independent feature film Partition. She plays Naseem, a vulnerable seventeen-year-old whose world is shattered by the trauma of the Partition of India in 1947; she falls in love with ex-British Indian Army officer Gian Singh (played by Jimi Mistry). Neve Campbell also stars. The film is directed by Vic Sarin and is a co-production between Canada, South Africa and the United Kingdom. The film was released to Canadian theaters on February 2, 2007, with a subsequent Region 1 (US and Canada) DVD release on June 26, 2007.
In the summer of 2006, Kreuk starred in the short film, Dream Princess by comic book writer/artist Kaare Andrews. The film is a modern sci-punk retelling of the tale of Sleeping Beauty, with a twist.

Kreuk starred in the 2009 film Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li, in which she played the title character, Chun Li. The film received generally negative reviews.

In early 2010, Kreuk signed onto the Japanese horror film Vampire. In 2010, Kreuk also starred in the music video "I Heard" by musician "Hill".

Along with Smallville co-star Allison Mack, Kreuk is the executive producer of a short film starring Mark Hildreth called Blink.

Kreuk will star as Heather in the 2011 film, Ecstasy, based on Irvine Welsh's novel.

Along with her friend Kendra Voth, Kreuk established "Girls By Design," a project to empower teenage girls through creative and educational endeavors. Kreuk with Rosena Bhura, of who Kreuk met on the set of Partition, and Allison Mack started a production company called Parvati Creative Inc, which focuses on “human-centric films as seen through a female lens”.

Kreuk is an active member of Team Power Smart, an organization dedicated to promoting energy conservation, and a member of the American Red Cross.

Kreuk resides in her hometown Vancouver with her French bulldog Dublin. On her blog on the Girls By Design website, she stated that she doesn't eat meat.

According to IMDb and Just Jared, Kreuk is currently in a relationship with Vancouver-born actor/musician Mark Hildreth.

Daisy Lowe Biography and Latest Photoshoot

Daisy Rebecca Lowe (born 27 January 1989) is an English fashion model who has modelled for editorial photo shoots and commercial advertising campaigns and has worked as a runway model. She is the daughter of Pearl Lowe, the singer/songwriter turned textile and fashion designer, and Gavin Rossdale, lead singer for Bush.
Lowe began modelling at the age of two, and did some photoshoots when she was 12 and 14 years old. At 15 she was approached by a talent scout in Camden Town and, as a result, she signed with Select, a London modelling agency.

In February 2006, Lowe was featured in Italian Vogue, shot by New York photographer Steven Klein, who also shot her in March 2007 for a W magazine pictorial called "Xurbia". In September 2006, Lowe modelled for the Urban Outfitters catalogue, appeared in French Connection printed advertisements and was profiled in British Harper’s Bazaar. She was featured in an editorial in Jane magazine alongside fellow model Lydia Hearst-Shaw in March 2007, appeared in Italian Vogue for the second time in May, and in August, posed nude on the cover of i-D magazine with her then-partner, Will Cameron of the band Blondelle, photographed by Terry Richardson. She again shot for Italian Vogue in 2009 at Bancroft's School in a shoot by Miles Aldridge.
On the runway, Lowe was selected by Karl Lagerfeld to model for Chanel, and has appeared on catwalks in New York, Milan and London for Topshop and designers such as PPQ, Nanette Lepore, Sue Stemp, Charlotte Ronson, Henry Holland, and Vivienne Westwood. She has modelled for Agent Provocateur lingere for the past three years, and has been used by Burberry, Converse shoes, Dr. Martens, Hooch, Wheels and Doll Baby, Ben Sherman, Frost French, Hari, Karen Millen, Diesel SpA and Whistles, as well as for her mother's recent collection of lace dresses.

Of the Whistles campaign, Lowe said, "[It] was a favourite shoot of mine... Modelling is a cool outlet for me to express myself, and fashion has always fascinated me. I love that fashion crosses into my other passions - music and art."
Lowe's magazine work includes editorials and covers of publications such as Tatler, Elle, GQ, Vogue, Paradis, Marie Claire, Interview, Jalouse, Teen Vogue, Dirty Glam, Grazia, In Style, Nylon and The Sunday Times Style amongst many others.

She has recently appeared in campaigns for both Marc by Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, Pringle of Scotland, DKNY, Mango and Esprit.

Lowe has some experience in other media, including being the focus of the BBC Two eight-part fly on the wall documentary series Class of 2008, co-hosting Glamour's Best Dressed 2008 with Peaches Geldof for Fiver, and a brief contribution to a blog for Elle UK online. Lowe has worked as a DJ, appeared in the music videos NYC Beat by Armand Van Helden and Bloodthirsty Bastards by Dirty Pretty Things, hosted events for Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce and Gabbana, and in April 2008 made a recording in a New York studio with producer Mark Ronson, with whom she had a brief romantic relationship.
2009 also saw Lowe feature in The First Days of Spring, Noah and the Whale's film accompaniment to their second album.

She was chosen to be in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar photographed by Terry Richardson in Bahia, Brazil. Throughout May 2010 Daisy documented her daily fashion and style choices for Vogue.co.uk's Today I'm Wearing feature. In August 2010, Lowe became the face of the newly relaunched Sixties label Biba. She is also the face of Stephen Webster's 2011 jewellery campaign.

Lowe grew up in Primrose Hill, North London, and stayed with grandparents to continue her education at South Hampstead High School when her mother, Pearl Lowe, moved to Hampshire.
Until 2004, Lowe was believed to be the daughter of Pearl Lowe's ex-husband Bronner Lowe, but a paternity test revealed that her godfather, Bush singer/guitarist Gavin Rossdale, was in fact her biological father.[4][15] Her mother Pearl Lowe wrote about the situation in her book, All That Glitters. Daisy's paternity was not questioned early on, and Pearl listed "Bronner Lowe" on Daisy's birth certificate. At age 14, Daisy found out neither Bronner Lowe nor her mother shared her O-type blood. She mistakenly thought that one parent must share her blood type and that Bronner couldn't be her father (based on a common misunderstanding of blood type inheritance). Daisy confronted her mother, who admitted to a one-night affair with Rossdale. Daisy and Pearl's lawyers arranged a paternity test, which Rossdale at first refused. Results confirmed Rossdale was her real father.
At 16, Lowe said of the press,

"A lot of the stuff that gets written is just complete, mindless bullshit. If something bad is said about any of the people around me, then we all have a conversation about it [...] Most of the time it doesn't have an effect on my life. It's annoying when teachers say they've read things about me, and my head of year takes me aside and asks if I'm all right [...] But you've got to deal with it. There's no point going to cry in the toilet."

She began dating actor Matt Smith in 2010 after meeting him at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. In 2011, she featured in Miles Kane's music video "Come Closer".

Keira Knightley was the “Worst Bridesmaid in the World”

Keira Knightley was the “worst bridesmaid in the world” at her brother’s wedding.
The British actress took on the role at her 32-year-old sibling Caleb’s wedding to Kerry Nixon in Scotland last month, and although she is usually very careful when she is wearing great clothes, Keira clumsily spilled food on her bridesmaid’s dress and accidentally ripped it.
“I don’t normally spill things down myself but every single drink went down that dress,” she said.
“Then they had a curry buffet at this wedding and the curry went all the way down the dress as well, and then I went to the toilet and I got it stuck in the door and it ripped it all the way down the back.
“So I was the worst bridesmaid in the entire world.”
Despite her numerous wardrobe malfunctions, the 26-year-old screen beauty had a “great” day and loved wearing the plum colored dress although she is doubtful she will be asked to perform the role again.
“I’m never going to be asked again. It was a great dress and I had a great night,” she said.
